Lynda Lea Hicks, 71, of Chickamauga, GA passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020 in a local hospital. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church. Lynda was retired as Assistant Manager from K-Mart after 30 years of service. Following her retirement she worked as activities director with Life Care Center of East Ridge, a job which she truly loved, and received the “Whatever it Takes” award. She was an avid UT Vols fan and loved going to UT Vol games with friends. She was a member of the Big Orange Club .
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Daris Brock.
Survivors include her son, Keith (Jennifer) Hicks; three daughters, Kendra (Tommy) Burnette, Michelle Gilbert and Theresa Jernagin; four grandchildren, Kevin Roach, Leanna Dennis, Lindsay Teems and Abbey Hicks; six great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Ray Brock; sister, Denise (Cecil) Johnson; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Jackie Swanson officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
