Margaret E. McCroskey Roberts, 91, of Chattanooga, TN, passed away Friday, April 25, 2014. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was a retired Bookkeeper from Forest Hills Cemetery and was a member of the Jones Memorial United Methodist Church and the Adult Bible Class. She was also a member of the Scenic City Friends and ASEBI Court #36 LOSNA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. “Ike” Roberts and five brothers. Survivors include two nephews, Reed (Janette) McCroskey, Ooltewah and Don (Faye) McCroskey, The Villages, FL; niece, Peggy (Johnny) Carter, Sharpesberg, GA; several grand nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the East Chapel with the Rev. Larry Dial officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 404 S. Moore Road.
