Marilyn was born on October 30, 1952, to the late Carl and Juanita Coffman. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas E. Burkett.
Marilyn is survived by her daughter, Barbie (Sonny) Bass; her grandson, Devon Bailey; her great-grandaughter, Kiayah Jade Bailey; two brothers; three sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be at 7 pm on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Chattanooga Funeral Home – East Chapel with Father Mike Nolan officiating. A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Wednesday, July 6, at the funeral home.
