Marilyn McLaurin Spickard, 68, of Harrison, TN passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2019. She was born in Auburn, Alabama to the late Rayford and Willsie McLaurin. Marilyn was a graduate of Tyner High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and retired from the Hamilton County School System as a Teacher after 25 years of service.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jeff Spickard.
Survivors include her son, Matthew Spickard (Alex Moyers); sisters, Donna McLaurin (Jim Robert), Denise Fitzsimmons (Jim) and Michelle McCawley (Bradley).
A memorial service will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Chattanooga Hamilton County Retired Teachers Scholarship Fund, 3074 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
