

Mark Andrew Staten, 60, passed away on August 8, 2026. He was born on September 13, 1965, to John W. Staten and Joyce K. Casto. He graduated from Brainerd High School and was a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee.
Mark retired from Mount Vernon Mills, where he worked for many years, remembered for the steady dedication and reliability he brought to his work and responsibilities.
Away from work, Mark found enjoyment in simple, lasting pleasures—swimming, baseball, bowling, and fishing—interests that reflected an appreciation for both recreation and time well spent.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joyce, and his brother, Eric Staten. He is survived by his first wife, Dana Staten; Michelle Timmons, his loving fiancé; son, Cameron (Lisa) Staten; stepchildren, Paul Isom, Latoya Berry, Kenyetta Isom, Scotty Arnold, Chris Mazie and Hailey Williams; granddaughters, Jaylin Staten, Haley Stewart and Whitney Lee; brother, Rodney (Beverly) Staten; sisters, Beth Staten and Dana Lewis; nieces Jessica Staten, Sarah Staten, Rebecca Chamberlin, and Katie Sneed; and nephews, Travie Staten, Josh Brashear, Daniel Staten, Jonathan Lewis, and Jeremy Lewis.
Visitation for Mark will be Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory & Florist East Chapel, 404 South Moore Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37412. The Funeral Service will be Friday, August 14,2026 at 1:00 p.m. Burial in Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
