Martha Lillian Vaughn, 87, of Chattanooga passed away Friday, February 20, 2026. She was a member of Lookout Valley Baptist Church and the Gold Circle Sunday School Class. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star #483 Lookout Valley Chapter.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald Vaughn; son Ronald Vaughn; parents, John and Willie Higdon; brother, Billy Higdon and Sister, Mary Brown.
Survivors include her sons Eddie (Sue Anne) Vaughn of Ooltewah, TN and Steve (Ruby) Vaughn of Hixson, TN; three grandchildren, Travis (Ivett) Vaughn, Brittany (Kyle) Carpenter and Lauren Vaughn; four great-grandchildren, Vivien, Kevin and Oliver Vaughn and Kylie Lillian Carpenter; one sister, Inez (Bill) Guffey of Valley Head, Alabama and lots of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West with Darryl Smith officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan’s Purse PO Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607-3000.
