Mrs. Byrd was born and raised in Cleveland, TN where she graduated from high school. She was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church for over 50 years and a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was also an avid gardener and confidant to many people.
Private graveside services were held at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
A Memorial Service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Brainerd Baptist Church with Mr. Howard Dixon officiating.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 64 years, Adrian Bill Byrd and her parents, Earl and Sarah Nave.
Surviving are her daughter, Adrian Byrd Miller; grandchildren, Gina (Bruce) Hogsett and Kevin Hales; great-granddaughter, Mary Hogsett; and beloved pet. Miss Puff.
Memorial donations may be made to Dalton Place of Standifer Place.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
