Mary Ruth Mills Land, 94 of Chattanooga passed away on December 28, 2017. She attended The River of Life Church. She loved flowers and gardening. Ruth was a Sunday school teacher and when able was very active in her church. Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. Land; her parents, Leo (Matilda) Mills, Sr.; 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
Left behind to cherish Ruth’s memory is her sons, Ronnie (Julie) Land; and Ken (Charlsie) Land, both of Chattanooga, TN., granddaughter, Lindsey Land (Brian) McDonald; great-grandchild, Rylee, and her fur babies, Sadie and Gizmo.
A Celebration of Ruth’s Life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Saturday December 30, 2017 at 8:30 a.m. with Pastor Terry Crider officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday December 29, 2017 from 5 – 7 p.m. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
