Mary Lucille Tallent, age 86, of Rossville, GA died Monday, December 27, 2010. She was born April 30, 1924 in Decatur, AL, the daughter of the late Walter and Naomi (Ashmore) Williamson. She was a member of the East Ridge Baptist Church and the Chapel Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by brothers J. W. Williamson and William(Bill) Williamson and a sister Ida Belle Massengale.
Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Marvin Tallent of Rossville, sons Dennis Tallent of Rossville, and Allen (Linda) Tallent of Louisville, TN., grandchildren Jenni Williams, Greg Tallent, and Sarah Tallent, great grandchildren Ayla Williams, Madison Williams and Parker Tallent.
Funeral services will be Sunday January 2 at 4:00 pm in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Ronnie Mitchell officiating. Interment will be Monday, January 3 at 12:30 pm in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 2 until 4.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Chapel Sunday School Class.
