Murrell Edward Hodge, 80, died Monday, October 28, 2019, at his home in Cedar bluff, Mississippi. He was born on May 1, 1939, in Harrison, Tennessee to Walter Anderson Hodge and Estella Virginia Picklesimer Hodge. He retired as a welder from Babcock & Wilcox in West Point, Mississippi after 35 years. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Willetta Hodge Swafford, Lorene Hodge Schurch, Fred Hodge, Harold Hodge, Wallace Hodge, and Charles Hodge.
He is survived by his sister, Ola Mae Hodge Stapp; his daughter, Treva Hodge; and his grand-daughters, Kathryn Hodge and Jessica Hodge.
Visitation is 10am-11am Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Chattanooga Funeral Home East Chapel with funeral service immediately following. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hodge, Bobby Shaw, Brandon Goins, and Jesse Hensley.
