Myrtle was born and raised in Chattanooga. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles and socializing with friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Annie Johnson; and several brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her daughter, Lori A. Forbes and her son, Matthew; adopted daughter, Kelly (Darren) Hollifield and her sons, Tyler, Sam, and Noah; sisters, Ruth Easter and Beverly (Mabry) Gilbert; brother, Leonard “Red” (Mary Lou) Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon to 1 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
A Memorial Service will follow at 1 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Jeff Howell officiating.
