She was employed at Hamilton County Nursing Home in the dietary department. She was a faithful member of the Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church until her health failed.
She was married to the late William Ransom Sr., at an early age.
Nannie leaves behind to cherish her memory her seven children; Norris Sherman Brown, Druehelen (Edward) Casteel, Patricia (Clarence) Schreane, Carolyn Edmondson, William Ransom Jr., Sandra (Emerson) Charles, and Larry (Sandra) Ransom, all of Chattanooga, Tenn., one brother, William (Belvia) Gurley, Cleveland, OH., 23 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, a devoted niece, Kathyn Byers, and devoted friend, Willie Pearl Deramus and a host of relatives and friends.
A Homecoming Celebration will be held at the Hawkinsville Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday April 28, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Bobby L. Hampton, Sr., officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior at the church. Nannie will be laid to rest in the Highland Memorial Gardens.
