Norma Jean Griffey, 82, of East Ridge, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday, September 1, 2013. She was born October 8 , 1930 in Hamilton County a daughter of the late John Wesley Brewer and Della Mae Johnson Brewer. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles R. Griffey, a daughter Melissa Jean Moses and a son Johnny Griffey. She attended Spring Creek Road Baptist Church.
Survivors include grandchildren Trista Moses, Amanda Spencer, Scott Griffey and John Griffey; great grandchildren Melissa Penland, Kathryn Penland, Orion Spencer, David Spencer, Katlin Spencer, Kayla Griffey and Spencer Griffey.
Graveside services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at Chattanooga National Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
