

She was a member of Clear Creek Church of Christ and a graduate of Tennessee Tech University. She retired from Chattanooga State Community College, where she spent many years in higher education.
She was beloved by so many and was the epitome of quiet strength, kindness, wisdom, grace and class. She always greeted everyone with the sweetest smile and a warm embrace.
Norma will now be reunited with her husband of 62 years, Franklin Johnson, who passed away in 2020. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Homer Turner and Edith Duckett, daughter Vicky Lynn Johnson, son Stewart Blaine Johnson, granddaughters Jordan and Jillian Johnson, Sisters, Nola Burnette and Ernestine Hall.
Survivors include Daughter-in-law, Lori Johnson of Rossville, GA. Grandson, Jeremy Johnson of Houston, TX. Granddaughter Abby (Jon) Viar of Ringgold, GA. Great-Grandchildren, Jada Johnson, Skyler (Caitlyn) Johnson, Carson Viar, Neyland Viar, Great-Great Grandson, Beckham Johnson and brother-in-law Gary Hall. Several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Special thanks to the staff and her friends at Rockbridge Oaks Assisted Living as well as Jeanne and Kirby with Gentiva Hospice for taking such good care of her during her final journey home.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m on Monday, July 13 at Chattanooga Funeral Home- East Chapel in East Ridge. A gravesite service will be held at Lakewood Memory Gardens South in Rossville, GA on Tuesday July 14 at 11 am. Rev. Jeremy Johnson officiating.
