Norman Alex Gallman

Norman Alex Gallman, age 39, of Ringgold, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, December 17, 2013. He was born February 24, 1974 in Dalton, Georgia.

He was a 1991 graduate of Southeast Whitfield High School where he lettered four years in both the basketball and baseball programs. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in 1995. He was a Certified Professional Trainer from the Aerobics & Fitness Association of America (AFAA) and was employed with Brainerd Baptist Crossroads (BX). Alex also held a CPR Certification through the American Red Cross.

He coached youth basketball and various youth sports camps for the BX and was a baseball coach for the Ringgold Youth Athletic Association.

Survivors include his wife Anna Caro Gallman of Ringgold; parents, Charles A & Catholyn Dianne Gallman of Chatsworth, Georgia; children, Kaleb Alex Gallman and Noah Jayden Gallman; stepson, Gabriel Adrian Serrano all of Ringgold; sister, Grace Rashae (Thomas) Doyle; nieces, Abigail Reese Doyle and Hartley Elle Doyle; nephew, Thomas Becker Doyle all of Tampa, Florida.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. Dr. Robby Gallaty officiating. Burial will follow at West Hills Cemetery in Dalton Georgia.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m. and Friday from 1-3 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallman Trust fund for Kaleb, Jayden, & Gabriel at Suntrust Bank.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37412.
