Patty Darlene Hickey Stovall

Mrs. Stovall was a graduate of Brainerd High School in 1973, and was a member of Brainerd Hills Baptist Church and Donald Kane’s Sunday School class. She was employed by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Tennessee for 18 years, spending most of that time as a Customer Service Representative in the Dental Department. She was also a longtime member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 95.

She found so much joy in cooking dinner for all of her family and friends every Sunday evening. She also loved relaxing in her hot tub, cuddling with her “babies” Sasha and Slade, and sitting on the beach with her toes in the sand whenever she had the opportunity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Eva Hickey.

She is survived by her husband of 22 years, David M. Stovall; sons, Kris Daw and Michael Stovall; brothers, Wayne E. Hickey II and Richard A. Hickey, both of Chattanooga; sister, Alicia (Gary) Mullica of Klamath Falls, Oregon; nieces and nephews, Amanda Hickey, Amy Hickey, Ryan McCord and Brandon Hickey; and great-nephew Hunter Gordy.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 pm on Friday and from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday at the funeral home.

Funeral Services will be at 1 pm on Saturday, October 15, 2011 at the funeral home with Dr. Richard Mason officiating.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brainerd Hills Baptist Church Mission Tour Fund, 6611 East Brainerd Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
