He was such an awesome man, who always had a smile on his face wherever he was. I will always remember him taking us on boat rides, and, unfortunately, the "butt fish" incident. He was always laughing, and the only time I seriously saw him angry was if the Tennessee football team lost a game. His memory will never be forgotten, and will always have a special place in my heart.

Going to miss our chats buddy. Rest easy my friend.

My former step-son. I called him "Baby Paul," as there were three Paul's when I was in the family. He had such a good heart, and had such a devoted love for his mom. I cannot even imagine her grief. 

I've been praying for Brenda, the girls, and the rest of his family. I never met his wife and son, but I've been praying for them to. I am so sorry for this unexpected loss. 

My youngest son admired Baby Paul and looked up to him. And I believe he emulated Paul's 'cool style' when he was a teenager. 

I will continue to pray for the whole family, and will always remember him fondly. God bless y'all, and may He comfort you, and get you through these very difficult first stages — the rawness of grief. I'm thinking about you and continously praying for you.

Paul was a great friend and a wonderful man.. it doesn’t feel real he’s gone.. I had just seen him a few weeks ago..  I called him wanting to bring a friend to see him about a car and he was there to help my friend! He was also my moms neighbor.. I went to my moms after this and sobbed as I pulled in..  Dana and Paul  celebrated my 50th birthday with me last year as well.. He was telling me a few weeks ago all about Peyton! He’s was a devoted father and loves Peyton so much! He was proud of him of so many things! Peyton was his best friend he said.. my heart goes out to Peyton, Dana, his mom, his sisters, family and his friends..  Heaven has gained another angel.. I’ll continue to pray for the family and for Peyton! Sending my love to the family…I love ya Paul that last hug meant a lot to me today! Until we meet again someday! Rest in Peace my friend..

I’m so incredibly sorry for your loss. Paul was one of those rare people you knew you could call in the middle of the night, and he would show up without hesitation. He was a true friend through some very difficult seasons of life, always supportive, dependable, and caring without judgment.

Life takes people through different seasons and sometimes years pass, but there are friendships and people you never forget. The last time I spoke with Paul was around the time of the adoption of my daughters. Even after time had passed, it felt easy to catch up. I remember how proudly he spoke about his family—his sisters, Dana, and especially Peyton. It was so clear how deeply he loved them and how proud he was of the life and family around him.

And, of course, you couldn’t talk to Paul long without hearing about football and his love for the Vols. That passion was simply part of who he was.

I will always be grateful for the friendship Paul showed my family through both the highs and lows of life. He was the kind of person who showed up when it mattered, and that is something I will never forget. In some of the hardest seasons, he was there. It is a testament to his character and the friendship he had for his core friends and his people.  Sending so much love and prayers to Dana, Peyton, his mom, his sisters, and everyone who loved him. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered. 🧡
