

Mrs. Tate was born in 1915 in Polk County to Robert Preston and Ethel Lemons Bishop. She had been a resident of Chattanooga for over ninety years. Pauline was an active member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for eighty years. She loved people and having company. Everyone was always welcomed in her home. She enjoyed cooking Sunday dinners for her family. She will be missed. She was a great lady.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norris Tate; daughter, Nadine Tate Lamb; grandson, Stephen Lamb; son-in-law, Donald Coffman; two sisters, Annie Belle Bishop and Jessie Stanger; and four brothers, Milburn, Cleo, Birch and Leonard Bishop.
Surviving are her two daughters, Betty (Mac) Pendley, Chattanooga and Sandra (Ed) Aslinger, Rossville, GA; eight grandchildren, Chris and Mitch Coffman, Chattanooga, Donna (Keith) McBrayer, Bremen, GA, David and Charles R. Lamb, Louisville, KY, Tracy (Dr. Mark) Littlehale, Madisonville, KY, Trevor Aslinger, Kevin (Rebecca) Aslinger, Chattanooga; thirteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and one dear friend, Kathleen Young with whom she enjoyed shopping, yard sales, and dining out.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday and 10:30 to 11:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Crosby officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park Cemetery.
