Peggie Marie McClain, 78, of Chattanooga died Sunday, July 7, 2013. She was born May 21, 1935 to the late Claude Dodson and Myrtle Green Dodson. Peggie was a longtime member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was currently a member of Westside Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Harold McClain, brother Roy Dodson and a sister Juanita Kraemer.
Survivors include three children Rick (Susie) McClain, Susan (Ken) Ebitz and Laura (Bill) Wilson, brothers Ed Dodson, Paul Dodson, Richard Dodson and David Dodson, sister Mary Hartline, grandchildren Krista (Derick) Hughes, Jeremy (Beth Smith) McClain, Jennifer Ebitz and Erica Ebitz, great grandchildren Hunter Hughes, Haven Hughes and expected in November, Doc McClain.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Reverend Gary Moore and Reverend Paul Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4-8 Wednesday evening and from 12-2 Thursday.
