Mrs. Peggy C. Bass

Peggy Chandler Bass, 92 of East Ridge, TN passed away Thursday, August 24, 2023. A graduate of Central High School class of 1949, she lived in East Ridge most of her life and was a member of Jones Memorial United Methodist Church. Peggy was also a member of Scenic City Friends and American Legion Post 95 Auxiliary. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star for over fifty years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Paul Douglas Bass; son Terry Bass; mother and step father, Anna and Robert McCord; father Joe Chandler; sister, Edith Blaylock.

Survivors include her loving son Timothy (Sheila) Bass; grandchildren, Brandy (Martin) Marquez and Kacey Helms; brother-in-law, John Bass; sister-in-law Judy Bass; several nieces and nephews..

Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Natalie Smart officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the funeral home.
