

Peggy Frances Bennett Lowry, age 76 of Chickamauga, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 01, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She was born October 26, 1934 in Rossville, Georgia to the late Curtis H. and Evelyn S. Bennett.
Mrs. Lowry formerly worked for Decosimo & Company and was the owner of Lowryland Arabians. She was a member of the Chattanooga Saddle Club, the International Arabian Horse Club, Zonta and Chattanooga and Professional Women’s Association. An avid square-dancer, she was a founding member of Alamande Hall.
She was a past member of Chickamauga Presbyterian Church and a current member of Hope Fellowship Church.
Her husband, James William Lowry preceded her in death.
Survivors include her son, Dewey S. (Karen I.) Moore, Sr.; daughter, Carol E. (David F.) Wiepert of Chickamauga; sister, Marilyn June Tomlin of Chattanooga; 7 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a niece, Carolyn June Tomlin and a nephews Curtis Michael Tomlin both of Chattanooga.
The family will host open house Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Lowryland Arabians, 58 Lowry Lane, Chickamauga, Georgia 30707. Call (706) 375-1549 for directions or details.

A graveside service will be held Friday, October 7, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Mike Thomas officiating.
