Ralph "Doc" Dockery

Ralph Willard “Doc” Dockery, 71, of East Ridge passed away Friday, May 7, 2010 in a local hospital. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Doc was a graduate of the University of Chattanooga where he played football and basketball and was a member of Lambda Chi Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve and worked for many years in the Textile Industry, Sales and retired as a Real Estate Agent. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Margaret (Peggy) Dockery; two daughters, Debbie Sanchez and Susan Hammontree; two sons, Kevin Dockery and Todd Dockery; eight grandchildren, who called him “Gampy”, Christopher Hammontree, Casey Hammontree, Kaleigh Sanchez, Ashleigh Sanchez, Alex Dockery, Maggie Dockery, Sophia Dockery and Olivia Dockery; two great-grandchildren, Kelsie Sanchez and Elijah Hammontree; and his dog, Abby.

Funeral services will be private.

The family will receive friends from 2-6 PM Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
