"Father, we ask You to send Your peace to those persons who are mourning. Continue to surround them with family, friends and loved ones who will offer words of comfort. Give them sweet and restful sleep. Father, remove the spirit of heaviness, and give them garments of praise. In due time, bless their lives to overflow with laughter and joy again. As they take refuge in You, please help them to put their trust in You. Holy Spirit, we ask that You settle the hearts and minds of those who are feeling any guilt, resentment, bitterness, or anger. Help them not to look back but to press forward."

We will miss Rick and wish we could be there but he is in our hearts. We love you all and our prayers are with you!

Love you all,
Craig, Kathy, Chris and Erik Nouis

Rick was always so even tempered and polite when my family would visit him and Kathy with their family in Chattanooga, Tennessee or when he and Kathy Broome would visit my family here in Houston, Texas. Every time I looked at Rick, it reminded me of my Uncle Ralph Earl Broome, Rick's Father and my Mother, Linda Gail Johnson's oldest Brother. One of the University of Tennessee's biggest supporters will be missed. At his and Kathy's house, I not sure if there was another color besides "UT Orange". Heaven will be blessed bringing home one of it's sweet angels in "Richard Steven Broome", or at the pearly gates him checking as "Rick" to all who knew him.

The picture attached was the last Broome Family reunion we spent with Rick. Notice that Rick is on the second row far left and his beautiful wife Kathy is next to him. What a great Family Memory! Deanna and I truly enjoyed the time with all of the Broome family.
