Richard J. Buske

Richard was born in Chattanooga, graduated from West High School in Knoxville, and was a graduate of the University of Tennessee in Chattanooga. He was a member of St. Stephen Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 6099 and Fourth degree and served as a District Deputy for Eastern Tennessee for a short time before his illness. He was currently employed as an apartment representative for Comcast and previously employed at Koester Environmental Services. He served in Desert Storm as a Captain and Platoon Leader with the US Army 21B Combat Engineers.

Surviving are his wife, Susan Buske; step-children, Carol-Lynne Therrien and Brian Benson; step-grandsons, Kadyn Therrien and Braydn Benson; mother, Eveline Buske; brother, Tom Buske; sister, Anne (Mike) Dunn; and three nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Buske and sister, Evie Buske.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Tuesday at St. Stephen Catholic Church with Father Joseph Brando officiating.

Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
