Richard Latham Erickson

Dick was a member of the Catholic parish of Saints Peter and Paul. He was born and raised in Yazoo City, Mississippi. He graduated from Mississippi State University and worked there as a research chemist for 30 years. While in Starkville, MS he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Parish and charter member of the Fr. John P. Egan Council of the Knights of Columbus. He was also an active member of the Lions Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Joseph and Katherine Erickson and his brother, John.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Terrell Erickson; children, Rick (Marla), Lisa, Andrew and Susan; grandchildren, Colleen, Katie, Bridget, Simon, Annie, Lucy, Amelia and Julia; brother, Lee; sisters, Jeanne (Al) Cash and Katie (Doug) Hornback; sister-in-law, Imogene; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11:30 AM on Monday, February 16, 2015 in the Varallo Hall at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul located at 214 East 8th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37402.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM on Monday at the church with Reverend J. David Carter officiating.

Burial will be private.
