Mr. Turner was born and raised in Chattanooga. He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School and a longtime member of Boynton United Methodist Church where he belonged to the Wesley Sunday School Class. He was also a retired electro mechanical engineer, member of Boynton Lion’s Club and a US Army Korean War Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce Lamberth.
Surviving are his daughter, Carol (John) Dodd of Hixson; granddaughter, Heidi (Tony) Pocase; sister, Dortha Elliot; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Monday, August 20, 2012 and 12:30 to 1:30 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1:30 PM on Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Brett De Hart officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
