He was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church and was the Junior Boys Sunday School Teacher. Mr. Posey was an avid Power lifter.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Margie Posey; daughters, Lisa Posey (Terry) and Terri Posey of East Ridge; sister, Carolyn Hicks of Soddy Daisy; brother, Donnie Posey of Red Bank; grandchildren, Lauren Posey, Marissa McSpadden, Madalyn Leeper, and Caydence Posey; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:00 p.m. in the East Chapel with Rev. Sam Cravatt officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, East.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 519 East 4th Street, Chattanooga, Tennessee 37403.
