Sleepy was born in Langston, Alabama to the late William and Callie Harrison. He was the owner and operator of Harrison Transmission for 40 plus years. He was also a member of Edgewood Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mary Ann Mosteller; and brother, Calvin Harrison.
Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Linda Harrison; daughters, Angie (Gary) McGaughey, Rebecca Harrison, Janet Harrison and Michelle (Jerry) McAfee; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Frank (Frances) Harrison, Raymond (Ginger) Harrison, and Johnny Harrison; sisters, Judy (Michael) White, Sandra Owens, and Patsy (Simon) Duffey; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Thursday and 12 Noon to 1 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Brian Kurtz officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens South.
