Robert R. “Bob” Mullins, 72, of Ooltewah passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at his home. He was a member of Hamilton Community Church and was retired from Olan Mills. Bob was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Benham.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Almedda Reed Mullins; one son, Ashley (Mary) Mullins of Chattanooga; two daughters, Alicia (John) Williams of Thompson Station, TN and Mylene Grimm of Bristol, Rhode Island; five grandchildren, Alexa and Caitlin Williams, Grant and Barrett Mullins and Alison Grimm; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack (Rosemary) Grimm, Pflugerville, TX; one sister, Judy (Marvin) Snyder of Dayton, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Thursday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. John Gulley officiating. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
