I know your in a better place. Say hello to "Red Dog", "Fergie", "Mr. Peepers", and old "Hay Bear". Till we meet again, RIP.

Over the past year I have thought of Bob frequently.   I had met his wife once years ago when he was in Eastgate, but I knew all about his family from our numerous times together over almost 20 years.  Every time I have had a haircut during the last 20 years I think of Bob and all of you left behind.   I also think of Bob when I visit Brainerd Baptist Church. May God be with you at this difficult time.

Hello Janice, Barbie and Amy.
We had a cousin reunion this weekend in Iowa and you guys were in alot of our thoughts and conversations.  I am George and Lois' daughter and have my 2 brothers (Brad & Bruce) whom still live in Iowa also.  We all tried to remember the last time we would have seen any of you.  We also talked about the things we remembered from any of your trip to Iowa.  My best memory was of Barbie coming to Aunt Doris' cabin in Lake View.  She was the cutiest little girl with the biggest southern drawl.   God's blessing to all of you.

I was shocked to learn of Bob's death.  He has been my barber for many years and he always did an excellent job.  It was fun to talk to about sports and many other things.   I will miss him but not near as much as the family will.   He was a fine man.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I just now read of Bob's death. He is the only one to cut my hair in the last 22 years and I was a customer at his shop for over 30 years. I loved this man and will truly miss my times and talks with him. Only makes me wish I'd gotten my hair cut more often.

Forgive me but I only learned of Bobs death yesterday when I called to make an appointment.He was my only barber since 1992.His passing has left a very large empty space that I doubt will ever be filled.

Janice I am so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. This is Wayne at the Computer store. Bob had also cut my hair ever since he was at East Gate. I called Bob on Tues. or Wed. before Christmas and he sounded bad like the flu everyone has been having. He wanted me to wait until after Christmas and I said no problem. We called and called and no answer and today I rode by the shop and saw the reef on the door. I had no Idea that he was that sick. Please come by or call me. If there is anything I can do please let me know.

I was shocked to learn just yesterday of Bob's passing. He was a friend and fellow veteran, and I had the pleasure of patronizing his shop for many years. As we discussed our service experiences, we learned that he and I had served at different times aboard the same ship - The Montrose, I as an embarked Marine, and he as a sailor. Bob was higly skilled and professional, and always a pleasure to be around and speak with. I will miss him, and my prayers and sympathy go out to the entire family.

I just today learned of Bob's death  from Ken Davis. I am so very sorry. Bob cut my hair for over 35 years since was out on East Brainerd Road. I will miss him very much. My deepest sympathies to his family.

I would like to offer my condolences to the Mumm family.I served two years with Bob on the USS Montrose during the Vietnam War. He was a shipmate you could always count on. The World has lost a caring man.

to bob's family , i was so sorry to hear of bob's passing . i considered him a long-time friend , as well as my barber since 1983. he was a wonderful man , with a great sense of humor , and will be terribly missed by all.

I am so sorry for your loss of a loving husband and father. Bob has been such a dear friend and barber over the last 30 years. We enjoyed talking about music and whatever else came up. Bob always had a big smile and welcomed everyone into his heart and barber's chair. Haircuts will never be the same without Bob.

I've known Bob for over 25 years and he was one of the finest barbers, and listeners, that I've experienced. He was a kind, caring man with a big heart and he was a part of my family - taking time out to visit when my travels brought me and the family back home. He cut my hair, and that of my children, with the same wonderful care and good humor.

I was so sorry to read about Bob's passing. We fixed the world's problems while he was cutting my hair at Eastgate Mall and Ringgold Road later.A good guy who will missed. There's a chair waiting at barbershop in heaven. I envy the conversations you will have with your customers.

I just saw Bob on December 10th and among other things we talked about the many years we've known each other.  He cut my hair for the first time in the early 70's at Cawood Barber Shop in East Brainerd and has ever since.  Bob was a great guy and wonderful friend.  I will miss his sense of humor and outlook on life.  My prayers are with your family Bob as we share in the sadness of your departure.  Rest in the love of the Lord my friend.

I was one of Bob's customers for over 35 years. We had many discussions about life, U.T. sports, and his service in the navy, and we shared a lot of laughs. I went to Brainerd, also, although I was a couple of years behind him. I was shocked to hear of his passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his loved ones.

Bob became my barber in 1976.  I soon began to think of him as my friend.  No one else has cut my hair since then except on the rare occasion when Bob was out. He leaves memories of joy, warmth and friendship. Our prayers are for God to give comfort and peace to those who knew and loved him.

I am sorry for your loss. My thoughts and Prayers are with you. May your heart fine peace and comfort during this time of sadness.

I only new Bob for the last few months as a patron in the shop.   He was:
