

Roger proudly served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. His dedication and service were a source of pride to those who knew him.
A lifelong Tennessean, Roger was an avid fan of the Tennessee Volunteers. His enthusiasm for the team was well known among friends and family and remained a constant passion throughout his life.
Roger is lovingly remembered by his son Jeff Woody; daughter Kathi Clark and husband Rob Clark; sister Nellie Lewis and husband Buddy Lewis; Carol Woody sister-in-law; grandchildren Justin Woody, Kirsty Woody, Taylor Woody, Tyler Woody, Nicholas Clark (Abby), and Johnny Rhodes Jr. Great grandchildren Rose Kidwell, Silas Woody and Micah Woody. As well as several nieces and nephews, and special friend Kimberly Gilley.
He was preceded in death by his father Herbert Woody; mother Ollie Woody (Caraway); and brothers Raymond Woody and Ritchie Woody.
May Roger’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved him.
The family will receive friends on Monday May 12, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held on Tuesday May 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Ray Rhodes Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery.
