Mrs. Lewis was born in Summit, Alabama to J. V. and Hailey Yates. She was a dedicated homemaker and member of New Covenant Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lewis; and special friends, Rev. Howard and Catherine Russell.
Surviving are her sons, Cletis (Nelda) Lewis and Wayne Lewis; grandchildren, Billy (Tracy) Lewis, Teri Traiwick and Gregory (Lesia) Lewis; great-grandchildren, Zachary Lewis, Spencer Traiwick and Madalyn Rose Lewis; and special friends, Emerson Russell, Marg Fryar and Greg and Charlotte Vandergriff.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Wednesday at the funeral home and 12 PM to 1 PM on Thursday at the church.
Funeral Services will be at 1 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2016 at New Covenant Church (3700 Clio Ave, Chattanooga, Tennessee (37407) with Pastor Johnny Godgiven officiating.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to New Covenant Church.
