Ruby M Hicks

She was preceded in death by her husband, James M. Hicks; grandson, Barry Templeton; parents, Leon and Johnnie Rhodes Gass; great-grandson, Logan Dotson; four brothers, Rhodes, Frank, Charlie and Riley Gass; two sisters, Bell Freederman and Elizabeth Griffin.

Survivors include her children, Carl Barton, Bill (Martha) Johnson, Fred (Shurlene) Johnson and Lynda (Eddy) Crawford; eight grandchildren, Nicole Heck of Miami, Florida, Tiffany Andrews of Park City, Utah, Darrell Johnson of Chattanooga, TN, Larry Dotson of Lookout Mountain, GA, Tina Pine of Ooltewah, TN, Lori Nierodzik of Ooltewah, TN, Amy Nichols of Ringgold, GA and Greg Muir of Jasper, TN; two step-grandchildren, Timmy Crawford and Tonya Crawford; nine great-grandchildren, Jordan Heck, Isabelle Andrews, Morgan Allen, Jessica Pine, Brooke Bledsoe, Addison Nierodzik, Danielle Muir, Sara Muir and Chase Lynch; step-great-grandchild, Tyler Chadwick; several nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Randy Heisser and the Staff of In Good Health and Amedysis Hospice for their care and concern.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Monday at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West with Minister Gary McDade officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Sunday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road, East Ridge, TN.

Pallbearers will be Darrell Johnson, Greg Muir, Chase Lynch, Drew Munsey, Chad Tipton and Dennis Swaney.
