Ruth Ellen Stevenson Gordon, 62 of Ringgold, GA passed away Saturday, January 7, 2017. She was a member and pianist at Grace Bible Church in Chattanooga and a window clerk at the Tunnel Hill Post office. She was a member of the Carpet Capitol Cloggers and the Chattanooga Jiu Jitsu Academy.
Survivors include her husband, Francis Joseph Gordon; step-son, Joseph and Joann Gordon of Prospect, PA; step-daughter, Mrs. Rachael (Jamie) Allen of Charlotte, NC; sisters, Mrs. Nancy (Raymond) Johnson of Columbus, OH and Mrs. Alberta (Alan) Slater of Prospect, PA; brother, George Alvin (Judy) Stevenson, III of Prospect PA; sister-in-law, Mrs. Patricia (Don) Hannan of Plymouth MA; brother-in-law, Richard (Kathy) Gordon of Lakewood, CO; eight grandchildren; 12 nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road with the Rev. Steve Atwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Tuesday and from 10 – 11:30 AM Wednesday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Siskin Rehabilitation Hospital, One Siskin Plaza, Chattanooga, TN 37403.
