

Mrs. Jarvis was a very devoted mother and grandmother. She was born and raised in Chattanooga, was a graduate of Central High School and retired from Provident Insurance as a claim adjuster. She was a member of First Centenary United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, participated in the Welsh Society of Knoxville and was an avid bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert E. Jarvis; parents, Jeanette and Jess Perkinson, Sr.; and brothers, Jess M. Perkinson, Jr. and Thomas W. Perkinson.
Surviving are her son, Howard E. (Elizabeth) Jarvis of Farragut, TN; daughter, Jenny J. (Frank) Beuerlein of Knoxville, TN; grandchildren, Lauren E. Jarvis, Emily A. Beuerlein, Kathleen C. Jarvis, William J. Beuerlein, Thomas H. Jarvis, Sarah J. Beuerlein and Katherine G. Beuerlein; sisters, Carole Casey of Decatur, GA and Shirley (Bud) Kaylor of Tampa, FL; sister-in-law, Nelda Jarvis of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Will Beuerlein, Tom Jarvis, Kerry Perkinson, Greg Casey, Chris Casey and Les Lee.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the funeral home with Rev. Cabel Trent and Dr. David Harr officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Young Williams Animal Shelter or Tennova Residential Hospice, both of Knoxville.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
