Mrs. Kennedy was born in Dekalb County, Alabama to the late Snowden and Flora Dupree. She was also a former member of Highland Park Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband of 61 years, Derval Kennedy; son, Dwight (Dee) Kennedy; daughter, Kathy K. Vaughn; 8 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be 1 PM on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery.
