

Sarah Margaret "Maggie," Hurley, 84, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Nov. 6, 2010, in Banning, CA. She was born in Tracy City, Tenn., and spent most of her life in East Ridge, prior to spending the last five years in California with her daughter, Judy; son-in-law, Randy; and grandson, Mark.During this time, she looked forward to visits from her son, Joe, granddaughter, Lori, and their families.
It was also during these last few years that she enjoyed her Bunco group, Red Hat Society meetings, and daily social outings. Maggie’s life was about her family and good friends, who cherished her as much as she cherished them. She blessed us all with her kind and outgoing spirit. Maggie loved meeting people and developed lasting friendships through the years.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, Luther and Annie Seitz; her brothers, James, Randall and Charles Seitz; sister, Loulene Travis; and loving husband of 59 years, William J. Hurley.
Maggie is survived by brother, Ernest Seitz; sister, Betty Mitchum; son, Joseph Hurley (Mary); daughter, Judy Gale Hurley Cammack (Randy); grandson, Mark Orr; granddaughter, Lori Mae Hurley Liakonis (Tony); great-grandchildren, Brandon, Justin, Nicholas, Theo and Eleni; several nieces and nephews; and many beloved friends.
Visitation will be from 12 noon to 1:30 PM on Sunday, January 16, 2011, with a 1:30 PM memorial service at the funeral home.
Graveside committal services will follow at 3 PM at Tennessee-Georgia Cemetery.
Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist. 404 South Moore Road.
