Shirley was born in Summerset, KY to the late Scott and Lillie Burgin. She was retired from Brock Candy Company and was a member of Christ Fellowship Presbyterian Church and was the first female governor of the Appalachian District of Civitans.
Surviving are her daughter, Laurie Norman of Chattanooga, TN; sons, Mark Norman of Johnson City, TN and Tim Norman of Atlanta, GA; granddaughters, Heather Norman of Murfreesboro, TN and Sarah Norman of Atlanta, GA; grandsons, Jason Norman of Chattanooga and Ben Norman of Atlanta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Darlene Merrit and Dondru Paula; and brother, Dormas Burgin.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Friday at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be at 11 AM on Saturday, December 19, 2015 at the funeral home with Rev. Ed Craft officiating.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens East.
