Born in Savannah, Ga., she will be remembered for her strength, courage, and dry sense of humor. Sondra dedicated her life to her family. As a stay at home mom for her five children, she was at every basketball game, dance recital, and class field trip. No matter the situation, dinner was on the table every night at 6 p.m. - with a meat, vegetable, and starch. As her children grew older, Sondra grew naturally into her role as grandmother. She could often be heard telling stories of her grandson Zander getting into trouble or stealing her red fish candies. Some of the happiest times were in recent years when the family would gather together and Sondra could watch the grandchildren play together from the back porch. Known for her quiet dedication to charity, Sondra was devoted to helping children in need. While she rarely spoke of her work, her generosity and compassion for the less fortunate continues to be an inspiration to those around her. Sondra is survived by her husband, David; children, Marie Stone, Rachael Szymanski, Matthew Rack, Sarah Moody, and Anna Roberts; grandchildren, David Stone, Lauren Stone, Alexander “Zander” Moody, Olivia Moody, Elizabeth Szymanski, Gabrielle Szymanski, and William “Liam” Roberts.
