

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Essie Tate, husband, Reverend Dr. Jack T. Robinson, son, Jack “Chip” Robinson, Jr., brothers, Thayer Tate and Murphy Tate, grandson, Brandon Lee Robinson and nephew, Reggie Byrd.
Survivors include her children, Sharon (Gervais) LeBlanc of Little Rock, Arkansas and Diane Robinette of East Ridge, TN; daughter-in-law, Kim Robinson; six grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; nine nieces and four nephews; three brothers-in-law, Robert (Roberta) Robinson of Chattanooga, TN; Richard (Betty) Robinson of Atlanta, GA and Donnie (Joyce) Robinson of Murfreesboro, TN; two loving sisters Jeanette (Ray) Burnette and Eloa Dodd.
Tennie was chosen as “Mother of the Year” in Russellville, Arkansas. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the love and joy of her life.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday at First Lutheran Church on McCallie Avenue with the Rev. Meredith Jackson officiating. Burial will follow in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Tuesday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 404 South Moore Road.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Phillips Lutheran Church, 51 W. 25th St., Chattanooga, TN and/or St. Jude Research Hospital for children in lieu of flowers.
