He attended Orange Grove Center school, graduated and later on, became a resident there the last fourteen years of his adult life. Shawn's hobbies included fishing, swimming, music and picking guitar.
He is preceded in death by his Dad, Ned A Cofer, his Mother, Carol L Cofer, his Brother Jeffrey M. Cofer and his Sister Pamela S. Mayo.
He is survived by his Brother Ned A Cofer Jr,& wife Debbie, his Sister Donna Daugherty & Husband Danny, and his Brother Brian D. Cofer and his wife, Kerry. He was an Uncle, to several Nephews and Nieces, and had numerous cousins.
A Celebration of Shawn’s Life will be held on Friday September 13, 2024 at 12:30 pm at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the family receiving friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest alongside his father in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
