Teddy was born in Epitoria to Savas and Hariklia Kyriakidis. Teddy came to America in 1951. He eventually moved his family to Chattanooga in 1982 where he and Betty founded the Little Athens restaurant and later The Acropolis. He dedicated his entire life to feeding and giving to others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Peter; and two sisters, Eleni and Popi.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Betty Kyriakidis; children, Sophia (Jack) Kyriakidis-Moore, Savas T. Kyriakidis, Kimberly (Lloyd) Kyriakidis-George, Nicholas T. (Amy Elizabeth) Kyriakidis, and Teddy M. (Amy Elizabeth) Kyriakidis; 13 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 PM on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (822 Belvoir Ave, East Ridge, TN 37412).
A Memorial Service will follow at 5 PM at the church with Rev. Clifford Herd officiating and a reception to follow at The Acropolis.
At his request, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Salvation Army (822 McCallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37403 or www.csarmy.org).
