Virginia Bailey, 82, of the Chattanooga area passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2011. She was a lifelong member of East Ridge Presbyterian Church, a member of Senior Friends, Senior Neighbors and the Jones Memorial United Methodist Church Senior Group. She was owner and general broker of Anton Realty and worked as regional manager of Metrix Properties for 10 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Thayer Bailey; one sister, Sylvia and one brother, Lamar.
Survivors include three sons, Randy Bailey (Mindy) of Norcross, GA, Dennis Bailey (Mary Ann) of Chattanooga and Dan Bailey (Becky) of Cleveland, TN; six grandchildren, Matthew, Lisa, Katie, Christopher, Greg and Jacob; two great-grandchildren, Emily and Arika; three sisters, Iris Arthur, Marie Parton and Kathleen Prater (James); brother, Kenneth Love (Pat); sister-in-law, Iris Love; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Friday at the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. Burial will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes.
