Vicki knew how to light up a room just by walking into it with her smile. To know Vicki was to love Vicki. She never met a stranger. Everybody loved Vicki.
As a small child, Vicki began tap and ballet dance lessons, adding jazz dance later to become an adult star jazz performer of Helen Wilson Dance School with solo dance performances each year at the Tivoli Theatre recitals.
She added cheerleading to her talents and cheered and danced all through school, including being a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen at her Alma Mater East Ridge High School. Vicki then went on to become head cheerleader at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing.
After college, she married and moved to Decatur, Alabama and became the Decatur City Court Magistrate until her retirement. She then moved to her dream horse farm and became a full-time lover of her horses, traveling and camping with horseback riding trail enthusiasts.
After returning to Chattanooga, she found the love of gardening and grew gorgeous flowers in her flower garden and often shared them with others including her terminally ill brother.
Vicki attended Memorial Baptist Tabernacle Church and took priority in reading her Bible.
Vicki has always been passionate about her friends, helping others as well as her dancing and glam.
She is preceded in death by her father, Edward Ballard, brother, Rodney Ballard and lifetime best friend, Missy Mitchell Rash.
Survivors include her mother, Jane Ballard of East Ridge; sister, Valerie Ballard Hayes (Bo) of Franklin, Tennessee; and her niece and nephew, Chaylan and Preston Ballard, whom she loved and adored.
Visitation with family and friends will be on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the funeral home. A memorial service will begin at 6:00 PM in the East Chapel with Rev. Robert K. Schrader officiating.
