

Warren Hutto Chancellor, 96, of Chattanooga passed away on November 5, 2014. A native of Mississippi, he moved to the Chattanooga area with his family in the early 1950s. He worked for Biff Burger, Shoney’s, McKee Bakery, and Mercer Bakery of Crossville before starting his business, Fresh Foods, Inc., which he sold before retiring. Warren was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran. He enjoyed ballroom & square dancing, and Cadillac automobiles. He was a loving and supporting husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Warren was preceded in death by his parents, seven siblings, and two grandsons, Walter Park and Philip Burke. He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Alma Grace Chancellor, daughter Rosemarie Park and husband Pat Park, and daughter Sylvia Taub and husband Bruce Taub, as well as grandson Paul Burke Jr. and his wife Alicia Burke, and two great-grandchildren, Paul Burke III and Astra Burke.
Warren was a member of the Brainerd United Methodist Church prior to ill health. He also was a member of the Brainerd Masonic Lodge #736 and Alhambra Shriners of Chattanooga.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Graveside Services will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Rev. John T. Ramsey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga.
The family extends their gratitude to the Hospice staff as well as to those who cared for him at the Rosewood Assisted Living Center, Fort Oglethorpe.
