Wesley Stephen Brooks died April 4, 2018, at his home in Knoxville. He was a 28-year resident of Knoxville and before retirement managed Wendy’s restaurants in Knoxville and the surrounding area. Prior to that, he managed restaurants in Georgia, Arizona and Texas. He was 66.
Mr. Brooks was born Dec. 18, 1951, in Chattanooga to John Henry and Dorothy Shedd Brooks and was a graduate of the University of Memphis. He was married to the late Hollie Newsome, who died in 1992.
Survivors include his mother, Dorothy Brooks of Columbia, Mo.; a brother, Brian S. Brooks, also of Columbia; and a son, Wesley Benjamin of Memphis.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 9, at Greenwood Cemetery. His cousin, Frank Brooks of Chattanooga, will officiate. A visitation will precede the service at 1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home East, 404 South Moore Road.
