Willard Perry Camp, 85 of Chattanooga passed away on October 5, 2019. Willard was a graduate of Central High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served for 8 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 95. Willard was a member of Calvary Memorial Baptist church in Ringgold, Ga. He retired from Tuftco Corp after 30 years of dedicated service. Willard also worked a 2nd job at the local McDonalds Restaurant, to many of the employees there he was affectionately known simply as “Daddy Camp” because he gave them all advice, whether they wanted it or not.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Minnie Camp, brothers, Leo, Thomas, Jr., and Lloyd Camp, sisters, Alice Abercrombie, Iva Dean Williams and Irene Gentry.
Left behind to cherish Willard’s memory are his wife of 52 years, Rose, children, Robin R. Camp, Staci L. Craw, Willa P. (Robby) Brooks, grandchildren, Tala A. Craw and Madison P. Brooks, and a son-in-law, Ryan C. Craw.
A Celebration of Willard’s life will be held in the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday October 8, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Eric Greeson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.
