My recollections of Bill are from high school days at Brainerd. He was in many of my classes and was always at the dances, social activities, and sporting events that we all enjoyed. Even then he was kind and fun-loving but still serious about his studies.
As years passed and we all moved on to our respective lives, Bill would be mentioned in emails or Facebook posts at times. Meeting him again at the last HS reunion I attended was wonderful and humbling. What focus and courage!
My deep condolences to Bill's family and close friends.

Bill and I were friends since the first grade. We had the chance to reconnect over the last several years, in Chattanooga. Bill, was one of the most brave & humble gentleman I have ever known. He overcame tremendous challenges, with such courage, fortitude, dignity, and humor. He was a shining example to all who were fortunate to call him me. Love you, Bill. See you @ the grand reunion.
