
Born in Landshut, Germany, she moved to the United States as a young child. She was the daughter of the late Maria G. Gulla and step-daughter of Anthony S. Gulla, and daughter of Bennie Lee Hice. She will be remembered for rescuing dogs, including her beloved Bailey and Frankie. Betty and Ed enjoyed attending the COTA Festival in Delaware Water Gap each year. She worked at local restaurants as a manager and server, and had many customers who loved and will miss her.
She is survived by Ed Hudak, her companion of 25 years; her children; Christian Evans, Stroudsburg, PA; and Jason Evans (Andrea) and grandson, Lucas Evans, in whom she found much joy and delight, Yardley, PA; four sisters; Irene Suhow, Taylor, PA; Catherine Dunnigan, Pocono Summit; Tony Maria Rollison (David), Spring Brook Twp.; and Dolores “Dee” Winans (Joseph), Theodore, Ala., aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorial service will be held on April 20th from 10am-12pm at Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington St. East Stroudsburg, PA, 18301. Burial will be private.
