Charles W. Ecenbarger, 70, of East Stroudsburg passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family, early Tuesday Morning May 7, 2013.

Born in Paterson, NJ on October 20, 1942, he was a son to the late Wayne C. and Alta D. (Williams) Ecenbarger. Charles attended high school at Paterson High in Paterson, NJ. Charles then enlisted in the Army on January 18, 1960. He was honorable discharged on January 17, 1966. He was the owner and operator of Master Vending from 1978 until 1993. Charles was the owner of Laurel Road Apartment from 1986 until May of 2013.

Some of Charles passions were vacationing in the Key Largo in the winter, vacationing in the Thousand Islands in the summer, boating on his favorite boat named Edelewiess, and fishing.

Preceding him in death in addition to his parents was a loving daughter Christina Alta whom passed away in 1981.

Surviving is his loving wife of 50 years Annelise D. Ecenbarger. They were married in Augsburg Germany; a son: Wayne “Butch” Ecenbarger, and his wife Debra; two grandchildren: Charles W. Ecenbarger and his fiancée Courtney Wall, and Adam C. Ecenbarger, all of East Stroudsburg; a sister: Joyce Dove, of Little Falls, NJ; and a brother: Wayne W. Ecenbarger, of Totowa, NJ; and many friends.

A visitation will be held on Saturday May 11, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home Inc. 27 Washington Street East Stroudsburg, PA 18301.
